OMT Workshop “Science Communication”

October 27-31, 2019
Ghent, Belgium

Communicating is a necessarily skill for young scientists to build up their own “brand” to help secure competitive jobs in the future or to secure funding for research. The workshop will cover several aspects of Science Communication as an important transferable skill to empower scientists to use the right tools and methods to communicate scientific results and research ideas.

The workshop will encompass tools and perspectives related to writing manuscripts and grant applications and techniques needed to engage with journalists during an interview or when writing a press release.  Hands-on exercises will complement the various sessions and engage participants in how to effectively use the tools presented.

The workshop will be hosted by OMT partner UGent in Ghent, Belgium.
